Flooding

This is Duck Creek near 32nd and Brady Streets. It is normally 5 ft wide and you can see the bottom but today it looks more like a river and the bike path is completely under water.

This is 32nd street behind Green Thumbers. You can see a car that got stuck trying to go through the water..."if they only had a brain...." tee hee

This gives a whole new meaning to the words Water Park.... :o)

Here is the bike path near the Annie Whittenmeyer Complex. Jack wants us to have a picnic at the table that has it's benches under water. *(O:

Eastern Avenue (a major cut through for traffic) was closed this morning due to water over the road near the Annie Whittenmeyer Complex.

Last night we had a LOT, and I mean a LOT of rain....upwards of 2" - 4" and hour for 3 hours. Of course, this had to occur at 2am and the thunder and lightning put Jack and Sandy (Maddie is a sound sleeper) in our bed. Mom ended up downstairs on the couch because there was no room for her in the bed.... Here are some pictures the kids and took at 6:30 this morning showing the flooding.
