Bitzer and Barnacle

Today Jack had a dentist appointment because we noticed something funny with one of his eye teeth. Jack requested daddy take him (I guess dads are much braver than moms) so John took him to his appointment. We had told him if he was very brave, he could get a new fish for our tank since we had to give away one of scum suckers that had grown to 5" and was too big for our tank. Well, as it turns out, Jack has 4 cavities...and he is very good about brushing his teeth too. Needless to say, we will be getting those taken care of over the next few weeks. The good news is that Jack was VERY brave and actually got two new fish today. He chose some very unique and fun names for them. Uncle Ron and Aunt Gretchen kept calling Jack Barnacle because he liked to hang on whoever was around in the ocean and the pool. So, we now have a fish named Barnacle. We also have become very big fans of Shaun the Sheep (see http://www.shaunthesheep.com/ ) because Uncle Ron and Aunt Gretchen showed us some video clips while on vacation. The dog on there is named Bitzer so guess what? We now have a fish named Bitzer. We have welcomed Barnacle and Bitzer to our fish family. :o) Barnacle is another black skirt tetra fish and Bitzer is another red-eyed tetra fish so we now have 2 of each in our tank...lets just pray they are of the same gender.... ha!
