Today I met my friend Tess at Coffee Hound. Once a month John keeps the kids so that I can go out alone with friends. Being a home school dad, he knows I need time to myself and he is more than happy to shew me out the door. He would actually love for me to do it more than once a month but I usually have so much going, I just can't. Anyway, Tess and I each had a latte and then we hit all 4 Goodwill Stores in the QC area and one Salvation Army store as well. Maddie is growing so fast that I have a hard time keeping her in clothes. She is in a 14 now...whew..... Today I found 10 pairs of jeans and Khaki's most with store tags still on them (Sonoma, Lee, and Dockers just to name a few), 2 pairs of overalls, and 2 jumpers (one is a very cute Christmas one) for Maddie. She is hopefully set for winter on her bottom half. I found a suit that was probably only worn once (doesn't look to have been worn at all actually but the store tags were gone) for Jack as well. My total money spent was $36.00. Now that is amazing! I will have to shorten a few of the jeans but other than that, they fit her great! It is hard to believe my 7 year old is tall enough for a size 14...sigh.... Tess found some very fun "this and that's", much to her husbands dismay...tee hee. I tease her by telling her she needs a house with a room labeled "this and that".
