John was working at the church all morning (it is noon and he just called because the jeep broke down on the way home so as soon as he calls back, we will pick him up...and yes, it is still better to pay for maintenance on a vehicle that is 15 years old than to have a vehicle payment every month - I keep telling myself that to feel better - HA!) so the kids and I did some running around to a couple places that had children's October events while daddy worked at church. We started at Home Depot to do their once a month free project. After that we went to Wallace's Garden Center to take part in the hay maze, giant slide, and face painting. Jack decided he was too shy to get his face painted since he would have an audience. Those of you who know Jack well, know that being the center of attention is NOT his forte.
