Yes Sir!
Today the kids and I were out and about after classes were done and we saw a group of National Guard people in their camouflage. The kids couldn't stop watching them. As we were leaving the store, one of them was standing by the door and Maddie walks right up to him and says "Hello! How are you today?" The gentleman's whole face lit up when he smiled and said hello back to her and told her he was doing pretty good. Jack had to get his piece in as well and told Ryan (his name was on his camo) that he looked really cool. Ryan then asked the kids why they weren't in school (we get that a lot but my kids are not afraid to explain why they are not). Maddie proudly told him that they were Homeschooled. Ryan's face again lit up as he told them proudly "you know what? I was homeschooled too! You want to know what else? My wife homeschools my kids too!" as he winked at Jack and Maddie. He asked them what their favorites classes were and of course Maddie is never at a loss for words and tells him all about how she loves history class and how she is learning about the revolutionary war but also told him that she has a hard time with math. He told her that he wasn't good at math either but that his wife is a genius at math and is teaching their kids real good. :o) I think the kids chatted away with him for about 15 minutes and the rest of group had pulled up to the door of the store to pick him up because they got tired of waiting for him. It never ceases to amaze me how many times we run into other homeschooling comrades.
