It's Caucus Time in Iowa

Ok, I need to take a moment to gripe... We have been bombarded the past month with politicians calling us from 8:00am til 9:00pm wanting to know who, what, where, when, and why we are supporting for the caucus which takes place January 3rd (tonight...and not soon enough!). Let me share the past couple of days as I, for my own entertainment, have keeping score of each politician "stomping" for our vote. On Monday we received 13 calls from the top 5 contenders. Tuesday we received 15 calls from the same contenders. Yesterday we received 18 calls. Yesterday I also took tallies of each of the candidates (keep in mind, 99% of these calls are pre-recorded messages). Here are the results from yesterday's tallies: Romney and Huckabee tied with 5 calls each, Thompson came in second with 4 calls, McCain came in third place with 3 calls, and Giuliani came in last place with only 1 call. Stay tuned for the next post...I will let you know how many calls we get today. :o) The "Merry Tossmas" junk mail has been plentious as well. I have a collection on the dining room table just from the past week and there are 45 pieces of "vote for me" mail. Guess this is the price we pay for being such good voters! Oh, and on a side note, Billary and O'BamBam are offering childcare services so that families can get out and caucus...perhaps I need a night out alone...TEE HEE JUST KIDDING!!!

Now THAT'S what I call a cheap date! "Hey, honey, let's drop the kids off with Hillary's people & go hold hands at the caucus!"
