BARGAINS GALORE!

It is my favorite time of year for shopping...out with the winter, in with the summer...that means BARGAINS! After we wrapped up school, I headed to JC Penney and began delving into the women's 1.97 and 4.97 green tag clearance. I have been losing weight (which is news to most of you as I have kept it quiet til just now) and have lost 27 pounds since December 30th of last year and I plan to continue to lose so I found 2 skirts, 2 sweaters, and 3 shirts, regularly priced for a total of $235.00 for....drum roll please...(thank you) $13.69 including tax! It helped that I had a $10 off a $10.00 or more purchase coupon too. One of the skirts fits me right now (which is good because my skirts are slim pickings right now with the weightloss) and the rest of them should fit me by next winter. I am EXCITED in case you couldn't tell that...HAHAHAHA! God is good. Things have been very tight with 2 vacancies in our apartment building since mid November and we haven't had a lot of extra funds because part of John's paycheck has to pay the expenses on the apartments but the Lord knows it is good to shop the end of season racks to help with the next years budget. I am so amazed...good things come to those who wait for sure!!!

"JACK-ISMS" How Jack Views Life

* Jack explained to us how God answers prayer. He said "sometimes God says yes, no, or maybe next week!"
*Thanks to my friend Tess, I had a gift card to Starbucks so last Friday we were early for piano lessons and I decided to take the kids into Starbucks with me for a treat. Jack sat down in a big comfy chair, put his feet up on the footstool and said "So Maddie, what do you think adults talk about when they come to this place anyway?"
Jack made me laugh today...he came running "MOM MOM MOM!" then he paused and said "Oh no...now I have to wait for it come back to my brain!"
* This morning Jack announced to Maddie "if you want to be a veterinarian, you can't eat meat." Maddie quickly informed him that she didn't want to be a vegetarian. :o)
* Today we were driving to the post office and saw a man with a very large trash bag walking along the street where there were no houses. He was picking up garbage but Jack didn't see that part. Jack exclaimed "Wow! That man must live a long ways from a garbage can!"
* When Jack was 4 years old, he came up with this idea. He had just seen a Mini Cooper car for the first time. "A Mini Cooper is a PT Cruiser when it grows up!"
* John has been walking Sandy because it is still pretty dark at 6:30am. Jack was up and dressed so he joined John. It was sprinkling a bit and Jack suddenly said "I got wet! My face felt a drop of water." John told him it was misting. "What is misting?" Jack asked. John explained that it is almost like rain but very light. Jack then figured it out. He said "Oh, the clouds are leaking instead of raining."
*Jack affectionately has frequently called me "mamaduty" so yesterday I asked him why. He said "You are mama and you take care of the duties" :o)
* "The men in the armoured trucks take the money to the hospitals to pay for people's bills" if only that were the case...tee hee
* Jack - I wish I was a letter. Mom - Why do you wish you were a letter? Jack - Because then I could ride in a mail truck.
* "Even moms have to obey...when mom is speeding, she has to slow down when we see a cop."
* "I am out of ideas. My brain needs to go to sleep now."
*When mom pulls out of parking lot really fast because she is late, that is IMPRESSIVE!
* The thunder is God moving around his furniture. The rain is when he flushes the toilet.
* Don't forget to smile and say cheese when you speed past the speed cameras.
* It is ok to have 2 girlfriends. I am only 5 years old.
* Mommy, dimes look like quarters to an ant.
* Daddy, don't hit any cars, trucks, or signs on your way to work.
