Philippians 4:19 - "But my God shall supply...

...all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Many of you who look at our blog are stay at home moms and you know that it is up to God to meet our needs for walking in obedience to the calling He has for us to be stay at home and raise our kids. That isn't always easy but God does always meet our needs. I want to share a praise concerning that today. We haven't been able to tithe as much as we would like to our church because with two vacancies we are having a hard time keeping our heads above water. This past week though we tithed literally on faith and a prayer. It isn't like we would starve or anything...I did have groceries taken care of but when your husbands pay check comes twice a month and you have 2 vacancies in your 5-plex apartment building you have to really budget each paycheck out carefully. Today we received a letter from our gas and electric company and usually those letters are to inform us that one of our tenants has not paid their bill so they send a courtesy letter to let us know it is going to be shut off for that tenant. Today's letter however was a present from the Lord. This letter was to inform us that an anonymous source placed some money on our budget payment for the month so the amount withdrawn from our bank account would be a lesser amount. That amount placed on our account was almost double what we had tithed! I am reminded again today how God always meets our genuine needs...always! (from Jim Berg's series Quieting a Noisy Soul) My heart is literally singing the Psalm 86:10 "For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone."

I used to only smile when I heard stories similar to this one, but in recent years, the Lord has given us many of these stories ourselves to remind us of His care. How wonderful!
