Homeless

I never thought it would feel so good to homeless...ok, so we are not REALLY homeless as we are living with my folks til on or about October 17th. It has been amazing what the Lord worked out in our behalf to remove us from a neighborhood that was getting very scary...and so fast too! When I look back at how quickly things moved with our home and the apartments being sold in 60 days from the time of listing, I am amazed. The economy certainly isn't robust right now so we know the Lord definitely wanted us out Davenport! There are some great things about being down in S.E. Iowa as gas prices here are 3.24 a gallon and that was at a BP station! Since we won't be having to drive clear across the quad cities to get groceries, etc, we know that the cost of living will definitely be less for us as well.

We are keeping plenty busy here with homeschool (thanks Margie for taping our classes so that we do not have to set up our homesat dish twice down here but only once when we finally take possession of our home), field trips for fun, and trying to find things we need that are always in the last box we check...tee hee :O) Once we get settled I will post pictures of our home as well as update you on what is happening in other areas of our lives.

We are so glad that everything is moving along smoothly for you all. We too understand how THE LORD works in our lives , like you guys our house in Belle Plain (pop:3000 +/-) was closed in 63 days after listing, with over 100 other houses on the local market!!! So sorry we missed seeing you on this Iowa trip, but we WILL definitely find you guys next spring when we return to Iowa.
Prayers and Hugs THE LONGS ON THE ROAD; John and Judy.
