Holiday Review

I didn't get any posting done through the holidays...seems like we were more busy than I had planned on. I ended up having surgery to repair a ventral hernia on November 23rd and then while recovering from that did as much as I could from the recliner. I am very thankful for a husband who had enough vacation time to stay home a week to help get everything done around here. He is a real trooper for sure! As he put it "I don't know how you do what you do everyday...my place of employment is way easier!" :O)

We had a wonderful Christmas time as a family. We had to cut way back on spending for gifts but that wasn't a bad thing. It allowed us more time and energy to focus on the real reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place. My folks, Maddie and I had the opportunity to sing at the Christmas Eve service at our church. My dad and Maddie sang melody, my mom sang alto, and I sang the tenor part. Here is a link to see the video we posted on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PET_QFxPWXw
