Maddie has been learning about the different trades of the colonist many years ago. Yesterday she learned about the blacksmith. Today she learned about the shoe cobbler. As a part of her lesson, she had to make a shoe similar to the ones the cobblers would have made. We used cardboard, staples, glue, craft foam, and string. It turned out pretty cute, although you wouldn't want to wear this one...the staples stick up a bit....tee hee :o)
